What is GHK-CU?
GHK-CU is a powerful copper peptide studied for its potential to support skin rejuvenation, wound healing, and hair health. Research suggests it may promote collagen and elastin production, helping improve skin firmness, elasticity, and the appearance of fine lines and discoloration.
Additionally, GHK-Cu has been explored for its ability to enhance tissue repair, support hair follicle health, and help regulate inflammation, making it a promising option for overall skin and cellular vitality.
Why did I add it?
I lost some weight with the glp and I didn’t love how my skin looked. It was sagging a bit- in my stomach, behind me knees, and under my chin. Last week I talked about how I added Semorelin to help increase muscle to help, but I couldn’t deny the testimonials and the interest growing in trying GHK-CU aka the “beauty peptide” that aid skin/hair/ nails.
Potential Benefits
Skin Rejuvenation & Anti-Aging
GHK-Cu has been studied for its role in improving skin health and appearance. Research suggests it may help promote collagen and elastin production, which are essential for skin firmness and elasticity. Studies indicate it may help reduce wrinkles, sagging, and hyperpigmentation, contributing to smoother, more resilient skin.
Wound Healing & Tissue Repair
GHK-Cu has been explored for its potential to accelerate wound healing and tissue regeneration by stimulating cell migration and new blood vessel formation. Studies suggest it may promote faster wound closure and reduce scar formation, supporting the body’s natural healing process.
Hair Growth Support
Preliminary research suggests GHK-Cu may support hair follicle stimulation and hair growth. Studies indicate it may help prolong the hair growth (anagen) phase and improve follicle cell proliferation, potentially aiding those experiencing hair thinning or certain types of alopecia under medical guidance.
Anti-Inflammatory Effects
GHK-Cu has been studied for its ability to help regulate the body’s inflammatory response by modulating cytokines and chemokines. This means it may help calm excessive inflammation, supporting tissue recovery and reducing the impact of chronic inflammation on aging and healing.
Antioxidant & Cell Protective Properties
Research suggests GHK-Cu has antioxidant properties that may help neutralize free radicals and protect cells from oxidative damage, which is a key factor in aging and chronic conditions. By reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, GHK-Cu may support overall skin and tissue health. Note: GHK-Cu is a compounded medication and has not been evaluated or approved by the FDA. Consult with your healthcare provider to determine if this treatment is right for you.
What Did I Notice?
I just finished my first 8 week cycle. After 4 weeks, I got my hair colored because the roots were rootin.. and my hair stylist noticed the difference in strength in my hair.
It also feels thicker and more filled in in the front.
I have been able to get my natural nails painted instead of getting acrylics put on.
I have noticed stronger skin cells and tightened skin in the areas I was concerned with. I feel like it’s thicker and stronger. My forehead feels thicker too- like more cushion instead of weak and thin.
Does It Burn?
This has copper in it and some complain of the burning or of it being “spicy.” I occasionally had a bump (like a bug bite) but i learned some tricks:
- leave the syringe out 20-30mins to come to room temp
- use an ice roller
- go SLOW, pausing in between each 5-10 units
- do it at night before bed
What Is The Protocol?
This may vary per patient, but for me, it is 5 days on, 2 days off, for 8 weeks. I do it Mon-Fri and take Sat/Sun off because I’ll probably forget anyway.
What is GLOW or KLOW?
Both are a combination of peptides. Where you get your peptides will really determine whether they work or not. If you get research grade, or mix yourself, this is where you can negate the potency of the copper. In our lab, the potencies are measured with the expectancy of degradation.
You never want to mix your own peps or add multiple in one syringe.
Glow is bpc157, tb500, and GHK-Cu
Klow is bpc-157, tb-500, GHK-CU AND KPV.
I’ll discuss these other adds in future Sunday Note Episodes, but KPV is great for healing the gut lining/ bloating/ etc and it’s basically for FREE in the combo rather than buying each separately.
Is it Injection Only?
We also offer a prescription skin serum that has Tretinoin, GHK-CU, NAD+, Spilanthol + high performance cosmetic activities including Niacinamide, Vitamin C MAP, Hyaluronic Acid and PhytoCellTec Exosomes.
Can I use Both?
Yes! You can combine topical + injectable. Always Consult a Dr. with any conflicting conditions
