What is Tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin is a growth hormone–releasing peptide studied for its ability to reduce deep abdominal fat and support lean body mass. It’s actually been FDA approved for the lowering visceral belly fat in patients with HIV. So we know it works. Visceral fat is the fat deep around your organs- the one you can’t see or pinch, linked to poor metabolic health.
*if belly fat is more hormonal, you may want to look into the hormone options first- if you’re in menopause click here.. if not, check out (Dim)
why did I add it?
After I got to my goal weight, I shifted into working on body composition. I knew it was a step up/ more potent than semorelin for helping with muscle and belly fat.. plus when i heard they combined it with KPV (the anti-inflammatory/ gut health/ skin health pep, I was like yes! I want to try!
will it make you bulky?
It’s not Growth Hormone.. it’s just the hormone that releases it, so you won’t turn all big and bulky like someone taking steroids. Potential BenefitsReduce Deep abdominal fatincrease lean body mass and improve muscle compositionKPV- decrease inflammation and support gut-lining and tissue repair
What did I notice?
More lean muscle tone, tighter stomach, felt stronger in the gym, more “pump” through my veins. I definitely would put this in my top 2!Is this an Injection? yes! Going straight to the blood stream is more effective than being broken down by the gut (unless it is gut-specific). They do offer semorelin as a capsule if you are wanting to try but very anti-needle- I personally would just want the best result and go the injection route.
What is the difference between Tesa/Ipa and Tesa/KPV?
Ipamorelin is like the brake release. So if tesa is the gas pedal, the ipa releases the break so you get the most from your own growth hormone. In the line up of ‘morelins, you have SEMORELIN (I started with that one), then Tesa/ KPV, then Tesa/Ipa. The downside is some experience a site reaction due to histamine, and because of it’s potency, cycling off longer is recommended.
KPV is a naturally occurring tri-peptide researched for its role in modulating inflammatory signaling, supporting mucosal healing, and promoting protective processes in tissues such as the gut, lungs, and skin.
What is the protocol?
This may vary per patient, but for me, I did 5x a week (sun night- Thurs night). An hour after food and right before bed. 8 weeks on, 2 weeks off. I’ll keep you updated after I try round 2!
